The Citrix “Provisioning Services” technology presents IT administrators with the ability to change the purpose of a virtual or physical PC/Server within the seconds it takes the virtual or physical hardware to boot. Moreover “Provisioning Services” reduces operations and maintenance costs by employing enterprise single-image management. In this blog I share the general guidelines I follow to deploy Provisioning Services 6.1:

Overview

Step 1 – Review Provisioning Services 6.1 “Product Overview”

Step 2 – Review System Requirements – Very Important!

Step 3 – Install and Configure Licensing (note: if you already have a XenDesktop 5.6 or XenApp 6.5 license server then the same license server can be used for Provisioning Services 6.1)

Step 4 – Install and Configure Provisioning Services 6.1

Step 5 – Configure Provisioning Services’ Target Device
