With the new release of Windows 8 just around the corner, Citrix is adding support for Windows 8 across the desktop virtualization portfolio.

At Citrix Synergy Barcelona this week, Citrix announced tech previews of XenDesktop, XenApp (the tech preview will be released November 1st, register for it at this link after logging into MyCitrix) and a new release of the AppDNA software with early access features with Windows 8 support.  And, the newly released VDI-in-a-Box 5.1 also supports Windows 8.

Users can experience all the new innovations in the Windows 8 user interface from a virtual desktop – any time, anywhere, on any device.  Speaking of devices, you can use the new Windows 8 devices to access your desktops and apps from the newly released Citrix Receiver for Windows 8.

For customers looking to phase migrations to Windows 8, you can start with a subset of users and support a mix of Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows XP virtual desktops seamlessly with Citrix.  Application migrations can be a snap with the automation of AppDNA software.  In short, Citrix is continuing with its 22+ years of tradition in supporting the new Microsoft products and extending them to deliver world-class desktop virtualization.

So, what are you waiting for? Give it a try today!
