By now, many of you have seen posts and recommendations to attend Citrix Synergy on May 12-14 in San Francisco.  I know that I’ll be there because I’m presenting on a few different topics.  For those of you who follow me on Twitter (@djfeller), you have already seen me tweet about the upcoming Synergy session.  I’ve also done the same thing on Facebook.

Instead of standing up on stage in front of a packed room telling you what I think you want to know, I’ve decided to change things around a bit. This time…

You heard it right.  The decision is up to YOU.  There are a whole slew of items I could spend 90 minutes on, but I might not pick the ones you are most interested in.  So you tell me what you want to here. So far, I’ve received the following via Twitter and Facebook

  • Applications
    • Best approach for gathering information about the application set
    • Do I really need XenApp as part of my XenDesktop architecture
  • Virtual desktop:
    • Recommendations for how to optimize the desktop image (XP or Windows 7)
    • IO figures for Windows 7 and Windows XP
  • Hypervisor
    • What impact does XenServer, Hyper-V and vSphere have on the XenDesktop design
    • Why is XenServer a better platform
  • OS Delivery
    • How to calculate the storage requirements for the server-side and VM-side
    • Best practice recommendations for write cache and persistent storage

There you have it, the current list of suggestions as of January 21st, 2010.  I know you have many more ideas, so let’s her them.  Either comment on the blog, tweet me on Twitter, or post on my Facebook page.

If I don’t have enough topics, I might have to do something really drastic, like present from a Marketing PowerPoint slide deck
